RAL - profiles with guaranteed quality

The KBE group was founded in 1980. It is a member of the Association for the Quality of Plastic Products, which was founded in 1963 and which is respected as an umbrella association for plastic products by the RAL organization, the German quality assurance authority.

Resistance against climate influence

The material used is non-hardened, highly impact-resilient PVC. The system of pure lead stabilisers has determinant importance for both processibility and resistance against climatic influence. This, together with the now common acrylic modification, presents an optimal safety procedure in terms of the recent environmentally-friendly approach.

Design aspects

Plastic window profiles have a nominal wall thickness of 3.0 mm upwards and are designed as multi-chamber profiles. The generously dimensioned chambers allow for the placing of steel and aluminium stiffeners in line with capability tests or according to static requirements. KBE window profiles achieve excellent values for the welded joints of window profiles, they have visually attractive rounded contours, and they are sufficiently robust, easily maintainable, and show colour stability. Quality is internationally certified.

Thermal properties

PVC profiles behave similarly to wood, i.e., they are good thermal isolators and practically cannot form any mist or ice coating. Sound insulation

The sound-technical behaviour of the windows is mainly influenced by the window pane thickness, the distance between window panes, and by the position and number of draft beads. The value of window noise insulation is determined not only by the window frame material, but mainly by the manner of glazing and the processing configuration. Standard noise attenuation > 35 dB. This value can be significantly improved if specially modified glass is used. In summary, it is possible to say that the contribution of profile shape to noise reduction ability is inconsiderable. Gap tightness is important. Non-tight gaps act as sound bridges because where air leaks, sound leaks too.

Safety-technical properties

Window safety, in terms of forcible break-ins, is mainly influenced by the window pane used and the window fittings used. The windows are designed in a way that allows for the modification of the standard type of window fittings. However, special fittings, which are used as security against forcible break-ins, can be also modified. The glass industry offers many more possibilities, from wired glass through single-pane safety glass and laminated safety glass up to safety insulating duplex glass.

Relation to the environment

Recycled material can be used for the manufacture of both the window frame profiles and secondary products. This material has all the prerequisites that could be laid on the window material of the future. According to current levels of knowledge, there are no other alternatives.
